FRISCO -- This off-season FC Dallas brought in veteran central defender Duilio Davino as a marquee acquisition.

The Mexican star's debut began with him wearing the captain's armband, but ended with a gaffe that allowed CD Chivas USA to earn a 1-1 draw on a late equalizer Sunday at Pizza Hut Park.

The 2008 Major League Soccer season opener left both Western Conference clubs with one point.
