Can U Help Me With My Speech About David Beckham?
Hey guys, I am currently doing a speech at school and I chose David Beckham as my topic which is due on 21st October 2008. I was wondering if anybody could help me with this by maybe giving me some ideas and a draft. Thanks. Much Appreciated.

Will he be there?

Make a hook statement, such as:
“There is only ten seconds left in the game, and the score is 1-1. You see the strong and clever player weave through his opponents with the ball. As he nears the goalpost, he shoots. Score!”
However, DON’T tell Beckham is the player until you reach your formal introduction.
Formal intro:
“Good morning/afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Today, I will be talking to you about David Beckham, a legendary soccer player.”
Thesis:
“In my opinion, I think Beckham is the greatest player in the whole world.”
Preview: List the three points you are going to talk about.
“My three main points about him will be blah blah blah.”
Talk about your three points. I recommend you order them from the shortest and/or the least important point to the longest and/or the most important point.
Conclusion: Review what you have talked about Beckham (the three points). Make a brief closing statement to bring your speech “full circle”.
