  1. I have no sympathy for him. He should honor his five year contract with them. If he wanted to stay in Milan he should have thought about it before signing that contract. He can leave if he wants, but it might hurt his rep. Besides many Americans don’t really like soccer, but I do, it’s more of a football, baseball, and basketball thing here.

  2. I was actually just going to post up a question like this when i found out the news. I honestly think its slack what LA Galaxy did to David Beckham. They made it seem all fair and that they would negotiate a decision if the right offer came along, but then all of a sudden they put so much pressure on milan (with short notice) that they have to make an offer immediately or the deals off – giving them a deadline of friday the 13th.
Now because milan didnt have enough time and they knew that they wanted to keep beckham, and that he wanted to stay, they made an offer of 11.6 million pounds, compared to the previous offer which was more than half that. apparently beckham is worth alot more than that but because the deadline is over milan cant make another bid.
now this is just ridiculous i mean he still has until march 9 another month, and they’re already giving ac milan deadlines, because its causing distractions. if he is worth more, then milan will be willing to make another bid to let him stay. i think that LA Galaxy just wanted to end this quickly because they want him back immediately – they dont want an extended loan or a permanent move. They make it seem all nice and all but david beckham has pleaded with them and told that his experience is alot different with milan. This will also increase his chances to play in the next world cup.
I feel sorry for beckham because not only is he playing in a great team and playing well, he is going to suffer at LA because its going to decrease his chances of playing for england in 2010. of course he will respect a contract but they put too much pressure on milan, it is a month until he returns and suddenly they cant make any more offers, and he also wants to stay. I dont think he cares about the money anymore, give it back and stay with milan he prefers to be there, i think they could’ve reached an agreement but galaxy doesn’t want to negotiate.
Nonetheless, Becks agreed to a 5 year contract and accepted the money, so i guess it doesn’t matter how he feels about milan, he’s stuck with LA and he can’t do anything about it.

  3. He had no problem going there when the $ were flashed in front of him. He loves when contracts benefit him, well guess what David, you signed and should honour it. Maybe next time you will think of your football instead of the bank acct that already holds more than you and yours will ever need or spend in your life times. The problem is he thinks because he is David Beckham that he can just do what he wants. He always comes off looking like the victim with all the public sympathy.

  4. I know the MLS is a nothing league but the initial 5 million pound offer from AC Milan was a joke. And for ACM to expect to acquire David Beckham with an offer 10 million pounds was absolutely ludicrous. I don’t blame the the LA Galaxy at all for rejecting. I feel very sorry for David and I’d love for him to be able to stay and play in Italy and be happy. But ACM has to get it right first.

  5. It sucks. You can’t play proper football with bunch of losers who don’t know how to play REAL! football and score goals because football is a team game.. Imho LA galaxy has no class comparing to AC Milan or any other European Pro club like ManU, Barcelona, Liverpool etc..

  6. I actually feel sorry for Dave. The thing is, he wanted to stay in Milan because he was playing better there. Also, staying in Italy increases his chances of playing for the English world cup team in 2010.

  7. Awwh. Well I know AC fans will miss him. Half the reason why he is leaving is because of Victoria I heard.Apparently she doesn’t want to move…again. I wish he would retire as a professional footballer in Europe.

  8. He would want to cry because he doesn’t want to go back to america and play with a bunch of losers! Everyone would want to play with Kaka and Ronaldinho in Milan playing REAL football.
